NEW ORLEANS– On September 6, 2025, at Dent Hall in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dillard University delivered a commanding performance against Rust College, sweeping the match in straight sets (25-7, 25-16, 25-17). This victory improved Dillard's record to 3-2, while Rust continued to struggle, falling to 0-6 on the season.
The match showcased Dillard's offensive prowess and defensive resilience. Dillard's team executed a well-rounded attack with a .366 hitting percentage overall, significantly outperforming Rust's negative hitting percentage of -.042. Cadence Thomas was instrumental in Dillard's success, leading the team with 12 kills on a .526 hitting percentage, contributing 16 points in total. Supporting Thomas were Madisen Fobbs and Khara Morton, both hitting efficiently with .455 percentages.
