Dillard Begins Outdoor Track Season With Impressive Times

Lafayette, LA - Overall, the track team had a successful day with multiple athletes qualifying for the NAIA Championships and setting personal bests. The 4x1 team in particular had a standout performance, finishing with the top time in the nation. Congratulations to all the athletes on their achievements!
Tori Burton finished 100m with a time of 12.14 and the 200m (24.88) just missing the NAIA Qualifying mark. Burton was also part of the 4x1 team that qualified with the #1 time in the nation.
Ryan Smith had a great day running the 100m (12.53) and 200m (25.32) with personal best in both. Smith was also part of the 4x1 team that qualified with the #1 time in the nation.
Kevell Byrd Qualified in the 400m (55.41) which is the #2 time in school history, 200m (24.26) which is the #9 time in school history. Byrd finishes off the day on the 4x1 which is #1 in the NAIA.
Tanijal Matthews Ran a personal best in the 400m by 1.2 second (57.57) just missing the qualifying standard. Matthews was also part of the 4x1 team that qualified with the #1 time in the nation.
