Dillard Athletics Earns Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award

New Orleans,LA - Dillard Athletics is proud to announce that it has earned the prestigious Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award for the 2022-23 academic year. This award is given annually by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) to recognize schools that demonstrate a commitment to character-driven athletics.

The Champions of Character scorecard is used by NAIA schools to measure the pursuit of character-driven athletics. Institutions must score a minimum of 60 out of 100 points to earn the Five-Star Institution Award. Dillard Athletics exceeded this requirement, showcasing its dedication to developing student-athletes with strong character.

Institutions are evaluated based on their commitment to the five core values of the Champions of Character program: character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Dillard Athletics earned points by maintaining exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the academic year.

This year, a total of 171 NAIA institutions received the Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award. Dillard Athletics is honored to be included in this esteemed group of schools that prioritize character development in athletics.
