The No. 17 Nationally Ranked Dillard Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Program Competes in Four Events On the Second Day of the 2022 NAIA Track & Field Championships
Gulf Shores, Alabama - The No. 17 nationally ranked Dillard's women's outdoor track and field had a busy day in participating in four events on the second day of the 2022 NAIA Track & Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama at Mickey Blackwell Stadium on Thursday, May 26.
Kevell Byrd finished 12th overall in the 100m with a 12.02. She also finished 12th in the 400m with a 56.84.
Byrd was also part of the 4x400m relay team along with Ta'Nijal Matthews, Rowe, and Karmyn Dotson that placed 12th in their event with a 3:54.36.
In the triple jump, Rachel Rowe placed 20th overall with an 11.58m, while Leila Walton earned 29th place with a 10.87m.
Next, Dillard's women's program continues competing on the third and final day of the competition on May 27. The events on the third day that include DU's women's team are the long jump (Rachel Rowe) at 11 a.m. and the 200m finals (Kevell Byrd) at 5:10 p.m.
