The No. 17 Nationally Ranked Dillard Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Program Earns Six All-American Honors on the Third Day of the 2022 NAIA Track & Field Championships
Gulf Shores, Alabama - The No. 17 nationally ranked Dillard's men's outdoor track and field earned six All-American honors on the third and final day of the 2022 NAIA Track & Field Championships on Friday, May 27, in Gulf Shores, Alabama at Mickey Blackwell Stadium.
The 4x400m relay team is Cody Branch, Joshun Noel, Christopher Watson and Jamaal Morris Jr. finished eighth with a 3:18.68. Since they finished in the top-eight in the event all four are All-American this season.
Morris Jr. also achieved All-American status in a pair of individual events. Morris placed fourth in the 200m with a 21.10. He also placed sixth in the 400m with a 47.55. Morris has now been an All-American four times this season as he was also an Indoor All-American in the 200m.
Julian Williams placed 20th overall in the triple jump with his leap of 14.36m.
The men's 4x100m relay team of Cody Branch, Jamaal Morris Jr, Kaleb McClendon and Willie McCaulley, who were the 2021 NAIA national champions in the event, made it to the finals this year, but got a did not finish.
Dillard finished tied for 37th overall among all teams in the NAIA with nine points.
Next, Dillard's men's program will get some rest and recovery time in before starting the off-season program.
