The No. 22 Nationally Ranked Dillard Men’s Track and Field Program Tallies Four Season-Bests and Three NAIA Qualifying Marks at the Carey Last Chance Meet On Friday
Hattiesburg, Miss. – The No. 22 nationally-ranked Dillard men's track & field program tallied four top three finishes, four season-bests, three NAIA qualifying marks and two event victories at the Carey Last Chance Meet on Friday, May 13, at William Carey Track & Field Complex. The men's team finished second overall with 47 points.
The school's 4x100m relay team of Cody Branch, Willie McCaulley, Kaleb McClendon and Jamaal Morris Jr. earned the event victory with a 40.75. The time was also an NAIA A qualifying mark, but one that they had bettered earlier this season
Julian Williams won the triple jump with a season-best leap of 14.50m. The mark was also an NAIA qualifying mark.
McClendon achieved an NAIA A standard in placing second in the event with a 21.28 in the 200m. The mark was also a season-best for him.
McClendon also finished third in the 100m with 10.94.
Christopher Watson achieved a season-best leap of 6.85m in placing fifth in the long jump.
Joshun Noel was the team's top finisher in placing sixth in the 400m with a season-best time of 51.45.
Next, Dillard's men's program will send a delegation of competitors to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships from May 25-27.
