New Orleans,LA-Dillard Men's Basketball found success this past weekend but they still were not able to move up in the GCAC rankings. The Bleu Devils currently sit in the third spot and will finish third if they defeat SUNO on February 15th. The Bleu Devils would finish the weekend with a record of 2-1. They would lose the season series to PSC, who currently holds the second-place spot in the GCAC. Dillard will look to finish the season on a high note before advancing to conference tournament play in Jackson, MS.
Game 1- Dillard would lose to PSC by 14 points due to a poor shooting night overall. Kenyon Duling would lead the team with 12 points. Quniterious Jones had 10 points off the bench for the Bleu Devils and 5 rebounds. The Bleu Devils just couldn't find the recipe to win down the stretch.
Game 2- Dillard would get their rhythm back when they faced off against Rust College as they won 68-58. Ty'Ohn Trimble would lead the team in points with 20. Kenyon Duling and Raheem Carter would have 11 points each. Dwight Felton would also have an impact on the game scoring 10 points and grabbing 4 rebounds. The momentum of this win would help the Bleu Devils finish the pod strong.
Game 3- The Bleu Devils would make easy work of Fisk University. The Bleu Devils would win in blowout fashion by 37 points. Kenyon Duling would have his best performance of the week with 22 points. Dwight Felton would also give the Bleu Devils 1t point and 2 assists. Armani Allen is slowly becoming one of the best players off the bench for the Bleu Devils as he scores 15 points in 19 minutes. Quinterious Jones was a force to be reckoned with on the boards as he grabbed 10 rebounds in the contest. The Bleu Devils will look to carry this momentum into the remainder of the season as they try to bring home a conference championship.
