Blue Devils Go Down To The Wire

New Orleans,LA- The Bleu Devils pull out a tight one against the University of Fort Lauderdale 71-62. This game was led mostly by the Eagles up until the final minutes of the 2nd half. Dillard came back with a vengeance and ended up pulling out the win. This is the first win of the season for the Bleu devils. The win comes off an all-around performance from Ty'Ohn Trimble who made 2 ft at the end of the game to secure the win. Trimble also had a big steal in the final minutes that helped the Bleu Devils cruise to victory. Tyrus Crawford would cap the win by catching an alley-oop off the backboard and slamming it. The Bleu Devil crowd roared as the men's basketball team would take their first victory in a hard-fought battle. The Bleu Devils will be back in Dent hall on Halloween to face off against Holy Patriot Univesity. Dillard will look to continue the hard-nosed play and secure their second win on the season.

Dwight Felton led all Bleu Devils in points with 20. Felton would also have 2 rebs and 3 ast on the night. Kenyon Duling had another big game as well with 17 pts, 7 rebs, and 1 stl. Armani Allen provided Dillard with a boost off the bench having 7 pts and 4 rebs. Jeremiah August also played a key role with 7 rebs.
