Wiley overpowers Dillard on Homecoming

(New Orleans) Wiley College used 39 points from its bench players as they rolled over Dillard by the score of 83-64 at the Battlefield in Dent Hall on Homecoming.

For Dillard, (1-1, 0-0 GCAC) senior Lance Theard led his team with 15 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and hitting 3-of-6 three pointers. He also added two steals, two rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes of action.

Sophomore Houston Chatman finished the game with 13 points, five assists, two boards, two steals and one block.

Wiley's Phillip Miller led his team with 15 points, shooting 6-for-8 from the field. As a team the Wildcats shot 57 percent from the field while the Bleu Devils shot just 37 percent.

On November 18, the Bleu Devils travel to Lorman, Mississippi, to face Alcorn State University in an exhibition game. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
