New Orleans, LA - Destinee Showell is used to doing things fast. The senior from Byron P. Steele High School (Cibolo, Texas) started running track at age eight and has been breaking records her entire high school career. Now she's bringing her act to Dillard University, head coach Bobby Williams, Jr., announced today.

New Orleans, LA - Nathaniel Barnett (Fort Worth, Tx./Hill School of Fort Worth), Jerome Cooper (Mobile, Al./Baker H.S.), Runell King (White Castle, La./White Castle H.S.) and Dominique Smith (Marrero, La./John Ehret H.S.) have each signed scholarship awards to join the Bleu Devil track and field program for the 2010-11 season, head coach Bobby Williams, Jr., announced today.

New Orleans, LA - The Bleu Devil track and field teams competed at the LSU Alumni Gold Outdoor Meet last weekend, held at Bernie Moore Track Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. It was the fourth outdoor event for the runners this spring.
