New Orleans, LA -  Deri'Andrea Tucker, a 5-5 freshman, was recently selected as 09-10 member of the New Orleans Saints cheerleading team, the Saintsations. Tucker is a member of the Dillard University (DU) Diamonds dance team under the direction of Ms. Jana Smith. Ms. Smith, chaiperson for health and physical education department and the DU Diamonds coach was also a member of the Saintsations from 1984-1990. Deri'Andrea is third DU Diamond to be selected for a professional team. Former DU Diamond dance team members, Zandria Pinkey and Lakia Wilson were also selected to participate with the Hornets and Voodoo and the Saintsations respectively. Tucker is majoring in mass communications at Dillard.
