(New Orleans, La.) Dillard had lost three straight contests to Edward Waters College before a 63-42 blowout victory at the Battlefield in Dent Hall. This marks the third straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference victory for the Lady Bleu Devils.

Dillard (12-5, 4-1 GCAC) was led by senior post player Keona Favis (SR/Shreveport, La.) who scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds while teammate Alyssa Washington (SO/Austin, Texas) finished with the games only double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 boards in the victory.

Splash sister Shaelynn Moore (SO/Houston, Texas) produced 16 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Lady Bleu Devils, who have now won four of its last five games dating back to the conference opener. This Saturday they will have a chance to inch closer to first place in conference with a road win at Xavier.

Edward Waters' Jermisha Collins led her team with 17 points in the loss. The Lady Tigers struggled to score the basketball all night and were without two of its top four leading scorers.

The Lady Bleu Devils return to action on Saturday, January 28 as they travel across town to face the Xavier University Gold Nuggets in the annual Crosstown Classic. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
