(Hattiesburg, Miss.) Dillard used runs of 20-12 in the opening quarter and 20-11 in the final quarter to defeat William Carey 64-56 at Clinton Gymnasium. Dating back to 2008, the Lady Bleu Devils had lost 10 straight games to the Lady Crusaders, but tonight's road win marks the third straight victory over William Carey.

Dillard (8-3, 0-0 GCAC) was led by splash sister Shaelynn Moore (SO/Houston, Texas) who finished with a team-high 18 points and shot a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Point guard Adriiana Jackson (SO/Houston, Texas) finished the game with 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field. She also dished out five assists, grabbed four boards and produced three steals in 38 minutes for Dillard. Splash sister Alyssa Washington (SO/Austin, Texas) nearly finished with a double-double as she scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds, produced seven steals and had four assists.

As a team, Dillard missed just two free throws all evening, shooting 12-for-14 from the charity stripe while its opponent hit just 4-of-14 from the line.

Senior Keona Favis (SR/Shreveport, La.) chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds while Shantrell Lumar (SR/Baton Rouge, La.) finished with eight points and six boards.

Senior Cortney Epting finished with a game-high 20 points for William Carey, who fall to 3- on the season. The win completes the season sweep for Dillard over William Carey.

The Lady Bleu Devils return to action on Monday, December 12 as they travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to face Stillman College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
