(New Orleans) The Lady Bleu Devils continue its hot streak with a fourth straight victory, this time over William Carey University at the Battlefield in Dent Hall by the score of 63-59.

Dillard (4-0, 0-0 GCAC) trailed for most of the game before obtaining and keeping the lead in the fourth quarter. Sophomore transfer point guard Adriiana Jackson (SO/Houston, Texas) led the team in scoring with 18 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field. She also picked up a game-high six steals and was an astonishing 10-for-13 from the free throw line. Sophomore Alyssa Washington (SO/Austin, Texas) scored 11 points, grabbed three boards, dished out three assists and had three steals in the victory. Dillard's stingy defense forced 32 turnovers and produced 19 steals in the win.

Last year's Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Shaelynn Moore (SO/Houston, Texas) was held to just six points in 18 minutes of action while teammates Keona Favis (SR/Shreveport, La.) and Alexia McDonald (JR/Petal, Miss.) both chipped in with nine points apiece.

Both teams struggled from behind the arc. Dillard shot a dismal 4-for-26 (.154) from three-point land while the Lady Crusaders shot 5-for-19 (.263).

The Lady Bleu Devils return to action on Saturday, November 12 as they host the University of St. Thomas-Houston for its annual Homecoming game. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
