(New Orleans)  After two consecutive conference losses, Dillard was able to get back into the win column with a victory over Philander Smith College in the Battle of @hiphopprez (Old School vs. New School) in three sets (25-15, 25-21, 25-23) at the Battlefield in Dent Hall. Dillard was led by freshman Corneisja Harrison (FR/Cypress, Texas) who finished with a game-high 13 kills and also picked up 14 digs in the win. Harrison, the reigning Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week, is currently second in the entire conference both kills and kills per set.

"I am glad that our team chemistry is there, because this is something we have been working at all season," said head coach Nancy Sikobe. "The team spirit is there; we are fighting together.
