The win improved the Lady Bleu Devils record to 3-3 in the GCAC and 7-7 overall, marking the first time this season that the team has reached the .500 mark.
Dillard had little trouble fending off the Lady Knights (1-12, 0-8), who made a last ditch effort to regroup in the final game, with the score 8-21, but to no avail. Paula Ogbevoen pounded SUNO with eight more kills and added eight digs, followed by Keisha Smoke, who had six attacks, along with nine digs and a match-high three service aces. Danta Cobb had 31 assists and eight digs, while Zorana Piljevic and Banikah Jackson scooped 16 and 12 digs, respectively.
The Lady Bleu Devils will next host GCAC rival Belhaven College (13-15, 2-3), October 24, at 3 p.m., at Dent Gym. Dillard currently occupies third place in the GCAC, followed by Belhaven, in fourth.
