(New Orleans) The Lady Bleu Devils scored just six points in the second quarter as they fell to Edward Waters College by the score of 68-59 at the Battlefield in Dent Hall. Dillard has now lost three straight home conference games after winning its first two Gulf Coast Athletic Conference games on the road.
Despite trailing by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, Dillard went on a 19-6 run in the next nine minutes, cutting the deficit to just three points with just over seven minutes remaining in the game before the Lady Tigers would end the game on a 15-9 run behind Kyeshia Dawkins, Kadajah Allen and Jermisha Collins who combined for 55 of the team's 68 points.
The Lady Bleu Devils (7-11, 2-3 GCAC) were led by junior post player Keona Favis (JR/Shreveport, La.) who was two rebounds shy of a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing eight boards (both career highs) in the loss.
