(Marietta, Ga.) After a 10-point victory at the Battlefield during the first contest, the Dillard Bleu Devils jumped out to a 25-7 run to open the game and never looked back, completing the season sweep over Life University by the score of 111-78. With the win, Dillard improves to 6-3 on the season and snaps a two-game skid. The last time the Bleu Devils won at least six games in a season was in 2010-11, when teammates Terry Church and Myron McGowan played for Dillard.

Junior Dennis Hightower (JR/Chicago, Ill.) finished with a game-high 24 points, shooting 10-for-18 from the field. He also grabbed four boards, had three steals and dished out two assists in the victory.

"We came out strong and ready to play," said Hightower. "We are trying to win all three games on this road trip."

The Bleu Devils (6-3, 0-0 GCAC) had a total of seven scorers in double figures, including Dexter Porchia (JR/Stephens, Ark.) and Tydrick King (JR/West Monroe, La.) who both finished with double-doubles. Porchia scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while King had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Montrey Thomas (FR/Shreveport, La.) finished with a career-high 19 points for the Bleu Devils, who shot 56 percent from the field as a team.

Dillard returns to action on Monday, December 14 as they travel to Atlanta to face Carver College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
