(New Orleans, La.) After defeating William Carey University just days ago, the Lady Bleu Devils added another "L" to the loss column after falling at home to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' 25th ranked team in the country in Louisiana State University at Shreveport by the score of 57-50.

Dillard (3-5, 0-0 GCAC) led 26-22 at the half and entered the fourth quarter with a three point lead before LSU-S went on a 15-6 run and outscored the Lady Bleu Devils 23-13 in the most important quarter of them all, the final one. Dillard had a golden opportunity to knock down another NAIA top-25 team at home once reining Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Year Kourtney Pennywell went down with an apparent ankle injury in the first quarter and never returned to action; however, teammate Quiana Tucker shouldered most of the load as she finished with 10 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

Alyssa Washington (FR/Austin, Texas) led Dillard with a total of 13 points while teammate Shaelynn Moore (FR/Houston, Texas) trailed right behind her with 10. Senior Rashida Ademosu (SR/Nashville, Tenn.) grabbed a total of seven boards and Keona Favis (JR/Shreveport, La.) grabbed six in the loss. Dillard seemed to fall short offensively as they only made 19 field goals on 70 shots in the game shooting less than 28 percent overall.

Lanae Bickham of the Pilots chipped in with 10 points, knocking down 8-of-10 free throws. The Lady Pilots shot 17-for-36 from the field, but camped out at the free throw line all afternoon with 31 attempts to just nine for the Lady Bleu Devils.

LSU-S improves to 3-1 for the season.

The Lady Bleu Devils return to action on Sunday, November 22 as they travel to Monroe to face the University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
