(New Orleans, La.) The Dillard University Lady Bleu Devils shot 45 percent from the field en route to a 59-55 victory over the William Carey University Lady Crusaders at the Battlefield in Dent Hall. The victory snaps a two-game skid for the Lady Bleu Devils.

Dillard (3-4, 0-0 GCAC) was led by freshman Shaelynn Moore (FR/Houston, Texas) who finished with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Moore also added five boards to go along with two steals and two assists in 35 minutes of action. Down the stretch, Keona Favis (JR/Shreveport, La.) was the clear difference in the game for Dillard as she finished with 15 points and three rebounds and made all seven of her free throw attempts.

Freshman Bria Burras (FR/Harvey, La.) hit two key three-pointers down the stretch for Dillard as her team held on to a slim margin throughout the contest. Senior Alena Evans (SR/Las Vegas, Nev.) had a rather quiet night, finishing with six points and five rebounds before fouling out of the game. Her final rebound was her 500th career rebound in four years as a Lady Bleu Devil.

Dillard returns to action on Saturday, November 21 as they host Louisiana State University at Shreveport at the Battlefield in Dent Hall. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
