(Houston, Texas) For the first time since the 2006-07 season, the Dillard University Bleu Devils are 2-0 thanks to a great come from behind road victory over the University of St. Thomas by the score of 76-70 in Houston. With the victory, Dillard snaps a 23-game road losing streak.

The Bleu Devils (2-0, 0-0 GCAC) trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half and shot a dismal 1-for-21 from behind the arc for the game, yet somehow managed a way to come back for the victory in a game that produced a total of 57 fouls. As a unit Dillard dominated the glass grabbing 57 boards to just 37 for the Celts (0-1, 0-0 RRAC). Dillard is currently ranked number one in the NAIA in total rebounds per game with 62.

Dillard's Dennis Reed (JR/England, Ark.) had his second double-double of the season finishing with 12 points and 14 boards while teammate Demetric Austin (JR/Washington, D.C.) finished with a game-high 26 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field, but most importantly made a living on the line shooting 11-of-15 from the charity stripe. Austin also notched a double-double as he grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.

Dillard returns to action on Tuesday, November 10 as they host the NAIA's fifth ranked team in the country in LSU-Alexandria. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.
