(New Orleans, La.)  Tougaloo scored 25 points off of Dillard's 19 turnovers en route to a 79-57 whoping over the Lady Bleu Devils at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.  The loss comes less than a week after DU upset the GCAC's #1 ranked team, SUNO, by handing them their first conference loss of the season.

The Lady Bleu Devils (16-11, 8-5 GCAC) simply could not put together a 3-game win streak all year although this was their best chance to do so.  The ladies do realize that in next week's GCAC tournament, it's the first team to three victories that will cut down the nets as GCAC champs, so they will have to do something they haven't done all year in order to become champions of the conference.

In this game, Tougaloo (4-20, 4-8 GCAC) was led by Re'Yada Stinner who dropped 28 points and nailed 11-of-15 free throws.  Montoria Atkinson had a sensational game for the Lady Bulldogs with 23 points and shot 10-of-12 from the field.

The lone bright star for Dillard was sophomore point guard Shantrell Lumar (SO/Baton Rouge, LA) as she finished with 13 points and four assists.  She was the only scorer in double-figures for the Lady Bleu Devils.

DU will finish regular season play in the Crosstown Classic as they travel 4.2 miles to Xavier University on Saturday, February 28.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
