(Tougaloo, Ms.)  There's a lot of basketball left to play this season, but as of right now the Dillard Lady Bleu Devils find themselves tied for fourth place in the GCAC more than a third of the way through the conference schedule.  Their 11 wins this year are more than the last two seasons combined and after beating Tougaloo 69-54 yesterday, Dillard climbed over .500 against conference foes.

The Lady Bleu Devils haven't finished a season with more conference wins than losses since 2011-12.  It's not official, but the early returns suggest that Dillard just may be back.

The Lady Bleu Devils, winners of 4 of their last 5, did it once again on the defensive end.  They held the Lady Bulldogs to just 17 points in the first half and allowed the home team to shoot 38 percent for the game.

They showed how effective they can be offensively with a 47 point second half.  Ultimately, the Lady Bleu Devils were balanced with ten players getting into the scoring column.  Senior Ciara Morgan (SR/Springfield, IL) led Dillard with 15 points on 4 of 7 shooting.  The team's leading scorer this season Alena Evans (JR/Las Vegas, NV) scored 12 points and grabbed 5 steals.  Senior Keylantra Taylor (SR/Houston, TX)  had a game-high nine rebounds.

Dillard (11-7, 3-2 GCAC) will stay on the road to take on William Carey on Tuesday night, while Tougaloo (1-14, 1-4) will try to bounce back Monday night when Philander Smith comes to town.
