(Tougaloo, Ms.) Kelsey Howard had been a good player for the Tougaloo Bulldogs early in the season.  He had shown the ability to score, with a pair of 20 point games during the nonconference portion of the schedule.  Since the start of GCAC play however, Howard has been arguably the conference's most potent offensive weapon.

In his first four GCAC games Howard averaged 26.5 points on 57.3 percent shooting.  Then...Saturday happened.  Dillard University came into the Dawg Pound fresh off their first conference win in nearly two years and looking for their second.

Howard would have none of that.  Behind his career night his Bulldogs knocked off the Bleu Devils 82-64.

In a brilliant 28 minutes of action, the 6-4 senior made just about everything he put up.  In a dazzling display of marksmanship Howard made 13 of 16 shots, including 4 of 6 from three point range on his way to a career-high 35 points.  For good measure he pulled down 10 of his team's 30 rebounds.

Jermell Anderson and Quintarius Porter scored 14 points each in the winning effort.

Dillard had just one player reach double figures as Tyrone Williams (JR/Marrero, LA) led the way with a season-high 19 points.

The Bleu Devils (3-16, 1-4 GCAC) will visit No. 18 William Carey on Tuesday before coming home to host 20th-ranked Xavier at the Bleu Devil Classic next Saturday.
