(New Orleans, La.) The Dillard University Bleu Devils did what they haven't done since February 2013; win a regular season conference game. This time it was in thrilling fashion over Edward Waters College on MLK Day by the score of 52-51 at the Battlefield.
Freshman Patrick Thompson (FR/Dutchtown,LA) led the way for Dillard and was tied for a team-high 11 points. Thompson shot 4-for-7 from the field and also pulled down five boards, had two steals and only one turnover in 24 minutes. His most crucial steal came in the final seconds of the game as EWC's Oceaan Maddox attempted the go-ahead basket, but lost the ball on his way up, and Thompson was there to scoop up the ball as the clock expired http://instagram.com/p/yD86iRsrh3/?modal=true&ref=badge.
