(Talladega, Al.)  The Lady Bleu Devils showed signs of life throughout the afternoon but in the end simply could not handle Talladega College's transition game as they fell 80-75 after trailing by as many as 19 points.

As a team Dillard (7-6, 0-1 GCAC) shot just 30 percent from the field while allowing its opponents to shoot 47 percent.  Senior transfer Ciara Morgan (SR/Springfield, IL) produced a double-double with 16 points, 14 rebounds, two steals and a team-high five assists in 34 minutes of action while junior Alena Evans (JR/Las Vegas, NV) also notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards in 28 minutes.  Junior transfer Rashida Ademosu (JR/Nashville, TN) tied a team-high with 16 points and also added three boards to go along with one assist in 18 minutes for Dillard.

Talladega's Shakeena Benton finished with a game-high 30 points, collected six boards and also dished out four assists in the victory.  Benton gave the Lady Bleu Devils trouble throughout the contest with her ability to score the rock as well as rebound and control the game.  TC's Tajanee Wells finished with a double-double, scoring 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the win.

On Thursday, January 8, Dillard takes a break from conference play and travels to Mississippi for a game against Belhaven University.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
