(New Orleans, La.)  The Lady Bleu Devils had its two-game win streak snapped with a 73-48 loss to NAIA nationally ranked Loyola Wolf Pack at the Den on the campus of Loyola University in NOLA.  The Wolf Pack came into the game ranked number one in the NAIA in both scoring offense per game (98.6) and scoring margin (44) while Dillard came into the contest ranked the best in the NAIA in total steals (127).

For two straight contests, Dillard (5-4, 0-0 GCAC) never trailed throughout the entire ball game, but this time ran into a team that has not yet lost a game all season because of its ability to score.  At one moment in the first half, Dillard trailed 18-3 but climbed back into the game with solid defense as they trailed 30-26 at the half.

In six games this season, Loyola has reached the 100 point mark three times.

Junior forward Alena Evans (JR/Las Vegas, NV) led the way for Dillard with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting.  She also collected eight boards, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes.  Sophomore point guard Shantrell Lumar (SO/Baton Rouge, LA) had a solid game with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, but had four turnovers in the loss.

As a team, Dillard shot a season-low 29 percent from the field while their counterpart shot 45 percent.

In exactly 35 days, the Lady Bleu Devils return to action and face this same Wolf Pack team on Tuesday, December 30 at the Battlefield in Dent Hall for the rematch.
