(New Orleans, La.)  With seven seconds left and the game tied in overtime, junior forward Tyrone Williams (JR/Marrero, LA) grabbed an offensive rebound then nailed the game winning shot leading Dillard to a victory over Tennessee Wesleyan College by the score of 75-73 in overtime in the Battlefield at Dent Hall.  With the win, Dillard handed the Bulldogs their first loss of the season.

"Houston was set to take the shot and I crashed the boards," said Williams.  "I didn't know if he would make it or not, but it was there and I put it back in."

Dillard (2-6, 0-0 GCAC) was led by Williams who had a team-high 16 points and missed only one single shot all night, shooting 5-for-5 from the field and nailing 6-of-7 free throws.

"I should have hit that one free throw.  We work on free throws too much in practice and I should have knocked it down."

The Bleu Devils enjoyed a 10 point lead at halftime, but TWC outscored DU 39-29 after Bulldogs 6'6" forward Devante Jenkins hit an NBA range 3-pointer at the buzzer to go to overtime.  Jenkins finished with 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting for the Bulldogs.  Sophomore standout Houston Chatman (JR/Houma, LA) was marvelous for Dillard, finishing with 13 points, eight assists, five boards, three steals and one block and played the entire 45 minutes.

DU sophomore JaCarre Crockett (SO/Monroe, LA) had a near double-double with 11 points, nine rebounds, three assists, but had four turnovers in the victory.  In the game, Dillard's bench outscored the Bulldogs 35-16.

Dillard hosts Louisiana State University in Shreveport in a doubleheader on Wednesday, November 19 at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.  The Bleu Devils put their two-game win streak on the line and face the NAIA's 14th ranked Pilots at 7:30 p.m.  The Lady Bleu Devils face the Lady Pilots at 5:30 p.m.
