(New Orleans)  Despite trailing by one at the half, Fisk used a 40 point second half to eliminate Dillard by the score of 72-64 victory in the play-in game of the 2014 GCAC Men's Basketball Championships at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.

The Bleu Devils (4-15, 0-12) ended the season on a 14-game losing streak after starting the season winning four of their first five games.

Senior Jeremy Rixner had a game-high 18 points and also grabbed six boards and dished out one assist in 33 minutes.  Redshirt freshman Houston Chatman finished with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes.

Senior Jordan Kilson facilitated the game and finished with 10 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists in 39 minutes of action for Dillard, and senior Lance Theard brought energy off the bench and finished with seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 22 minutes.  Kilson, Theard and Rixner each played their final game in a Bleu Devil uniform.

For Fisk, GCAC Player of the Year Cameron Lewis was held below his season average and finished with 15 points and six rebounds, and Richmond Jackson had a game-high 18 points and also grabbed three rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Fisk University advances to the quarterfinal to face Xavier University on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
