New Orleans, LA - The Dillard cross country teams competed this weekend at the 37th annual Azalea City Classic, hosted by the University of South Alabama in Mobile, at Battleship Park. 

Despite the muddy terrain, three Lady Bleu Devils finished the race though they did not place.  Senior Jasmyne Fine and juniors Neshara Boyd and Tiffany Young all completed the women's five kilometer course. 

The University of Southern Mississippi was the top women's team, with a 30-point first place finish.  Southeastern Louisiana's Kapkiai Dorcus took individual honors for first place, with a time of 19:35.

Next up is the LSU Invitational on Saturday, September 26, in Baton Rouge, which should really test the Lady Bleu Devils.  The event will be held at Highland Road Park, with the women's five kilometer race scheduled for 8:35 a.m.
