(New Orleans)  The Lady Bleu Devils picked up their third win in six games by defeating Voorhees College by the score of 54-45 at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.

Junior Keylantra Taylor led the Lady Bleu Devils (3-11, 3-5 GCAC) with 12 points, 14 boards, one assist and two steals in 38 minutes of action, and senior Brionne Brister also finished with 12 points, two rebounds, one assist and one block in 15 minutes.

"I don't think we played well, but in order to be a championship team, you have to win these ugly games," said head coach Norbert Rome.  "We will continue working."

Dillard's bench was marvelous throughout the game as they outscored Voorhees's bench 24-5, and Dillard also dominated the interior with 30 points in the paint versus 18 for the Lady Tigers.

Sophomore Kritofia Smart led Voorhees with 16 points, five boards, two blocks, two steals and two assists in 33 minutes while senior Amber Johnson finished with a triple-double; 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 turnovers.

The Lady Bleu Devils continue conference play as they travel to Jackson on Saturday, February 15 to face Tougaloo College.  Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
