(New Orleans)  The Lady Bleu Devils failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity and had its one game win streak snapped by the Lady Knights of Southern University at New Orleans by the score of 71-47 on the campus of SUNO.

Junior Keylantra Taylor led Dillard (2-11, 2-5 GCAC) and finished with a team-high 11 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes.  Freshman Julia Hendrieth was next on the list with 10 points, six boards, two steals and one assist in 18 minutes of action for the Lady Bleu Devils.

SUNO produced four scorers in double figures including Sabrina Scott who finished with 18 points, eight boards, six blocks and two steals in 25 minutes of action, meanwhile Brandy Broome finished with 10 points, eight dimes and six steals.

The Lady Bleu Devils couldn't recover after trailing 35-19 at the half, but improved in the second half as they were only outscored by six points.  For the game, Dillard shot a dismal 26 percent from the field while their opponents shot 51 percent.

The Lady Bleu Devils continue conference play as they host GCAC newcomer Voorhees College on Saturday, February 8.  Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m.
