(New Orleans)  The Lady Bleu Devils soared to their second conference victory in dramatic fashion by defeating a tough Lady Bulldogs squad by the score of 86-83 in overtime at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.

Sophomore Alena Evans led Dillard (2-10, 2-4 GCAC) and finished with a game-high 25 points and nine rebounds.  Evans was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line as her team shot a season-high 87 percent (26-for-30) from the charity stripe.  The Lady Bleu Devils forced the Lady Bulldogs into 20 turnovers while only committing 13 themselves.

Junior Keylantra Taylor had a monster game and finished with a double-double (13 points, 16 rebounds) in 34 minutes of action before fouling out of the contest.  Freshman point guard Shantrell Lumar did a fantastic job of managing the game as she chipped in with five points, eight assists, one block and one steal.  Lumar played the entire 45 minutes without exiting the game one single time for the Lady Bleu Devils.

Sharpshooter Shea Collins came off the bench to add three more trey balls to her season total and finished with 12 points, three boards and one steal in 22 minutes, while Tougaloo's Chasity Kearney had only four points at the half but finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds before fouling out down the stretch of the second half.

The Lady Bleu Devils continue conference play and travel to Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) on Tuesday, February 4.  Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
