(Jackson, MS)  Dillard dropped its third straight game with a loss to Belhaven University by the score of 79-56 in Jackson.

Dillard (4-4, 0-2 GCAC) trailed by 11 at the half due to a high-flying first half attack from the Blazers which yielded four slam dunks by junior Datodrick Pinkston.

The Bleu Devils finished with 27 total turnovers which resulted in 33 points off turnovers for Belhaven.

Dillard senior Jeremy Rixner was the high man for the Bleu Devils, finishing with 11 points, seven boards, five blocks and two assists in 30 minutes of action, meanwhile freshman Robert Pratt nearly earned a double-double with nine points, nine boards, three steals and two assists in 24 minutes.

Sophomore Houston Chatman finished with nine points, three boards, three assists, three steals, but had a dismal seven turnovers in the contest.

The Blazers produced four scorers in double figures and as a team finished with 21 steals on the night.

The Bleu Devils return to conference play and face Fisk University on Saturday, January 18 at 5:00 p.m. at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.
