(Jacksonville, FL)  Dillard dropped its seventh straight game with a loss to Edward Waters College by the score of 61-55 in Jacksonville.

Dillard junior Kierrariel Mitchell led Dillard (0-7, 0-2 GCAC) with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting.  Mitchell was one rebound short of a double-double and also added one assist and one steal in only 22 minutes.

The Lady Bleu Devils and Lady Tigers were all knotted up at 26 at the half and it seemed as if Dillard had its best chance to shake off its rusty start to the season and steal the victory on the road, but simply couldn't stop Edward Waters down the stretch.

Both Dillard and Edward Waters shot 31 percent from the field for the game.

Dillard junior Brittany Smith assisted the Lady Bleu Devils with 11 points, five boards, four steals and one assist in 33 minutes of action.

The Lady Bleu Devils take a break from conference play and face Belhaven University on Tuesday, January 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Jackson.
