(New Orleans)  Dillard matched its entire regular season win total from last year by defeating the Loyola Wolf Pack by the score of 54-47 at the Battlefield in Dent Hall.

The Bleu Devils (3-1, 0-0 GCAC) led 28-21 at the half and outscored Loyola's bench 20-5 in the contest.  Sophomore Tyrone Williams led all scorers with 17 points and also added six boards in 26 minutes of action.

Dillard sophomore Houston Chatman finished with 12 points, six rebounds and one assist on the night.  Despite not hitting a field goal all night, sophomore Jarrain Jenkins still finished with 10 boards, two blocks and one assist.

Dillard was once again relentless on the defensive end outside the perimeter, holding Loyola to 1-for-15 shooting from behind the arc.  The Bleu Devils are currently top five in the NAIA in three point percentage (defense).

The Bleu Devils return home on Saturday, January 18 as they host Fisk University in the Battlefield at Dent Hall Gymnasium for conference play.  Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
