Several Dillard University student-athletes competed in the 2013 Mississippi College Twilight Invitational in Clinton, Ms. in preparation for next week's big showdown at the 2013 GCAC Track and Field Conference Championships in New Orleans.

Sophomore Darius Neely had a personal best and finished 7th overall in the Men's 400 Meter Dash with a time of 48.94.  Juniors Matt Jones and Emory Nash finished 8th and 9th respectively with times of 49.06 and 49.18.

Sophomore Sean Wilson finished 9th overall in the Men's 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 17.17.

Dillard's 4x100 Meter Relay team, comprised of Neely, sophomores Friday George and Tobyus Simmons, and junior Wendell Collins finished 5th overall, posting a time of 42.05.  The team has already qualified for NAIA Nationals.

In the Men's 100 Meter Dash, Simmons placed 9th overall with a time of 11.05, and sophomore Jevonte Ezzard finished 16th overall, posting a time of 11.26.  Meanwhile Collins placed 25th overall with a time of 11.52.

The Men's NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will be May 23-25 in Marion, Indiana, on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
