(New Orleans) The Bleu Devils 4x400 Meter Relay Team recently qualified for nationals at the Victor Lopez Classic on the campus of Rice University.  Their fourth place finish with a final time of 3:12.95 was good enough to make the "A" standard in the NAIA.

Dillard's 4x4 relay team comprised of sophomores Jevonte Ezzard, Darius Neely, and juniors Emory Nash and Matthew Jones boast the number one time in the nation (NAIA) in the Men's 4x400 Meter Relay.

In the Men's 100 Meter Dash, Neely finished eleventh and posted a time of 11.01.  Sophomore Tobyus Simmons crossed the finish line just milliseconds after Neely, posting a time of 11.03 for a twelfth place finish.  Sophomore Kermit Buggage finished in sixteenth place with a time of 11.15.

In the Men's 200 Meter Dash, Neely had yet another eleventh place finish and posted a time of 22.04, beating out teammate Ezzard who finished with a time of 22.21.  Simmons was close behind with an eighteenth place finish and a time of 22.29, and Jones followed closely behind with a time of 22.37.

However, Ezzard represented the Bleu Devils well with a seventh place finish in the Men's 400 Meter Dash with a time of 47.71.

In the Men's 800 Meter Run, Nash finished sixteenth overall with a time of 1:54.68 and in the Men's 110 Meter Hurdles, senior Runell King finished in fifteenth place with a time of 16.60.

The Bleu Devils placed seventh overall in the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay with a time of 41.53, once again making an "A" standard in the NAIA.  Simmons, Buggage, Neely and sophomore Wendell Collins make up the relay team.

The Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will be May 23-25 in Marion, Indiana, on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
