Dillard entered the Dawg Pound with only one conference win on the season, but after shooting 67 percent from the field in the first half, the Bleu Devils shocked the Bulldogs on their own floor with a 66-56 victory.

Dillard (3-18 overall, 2-10 GCAC) was led by freshman Tyrone Williams who finished with a game-high 17 points and picked up four boards, shooting 6-for-12 from the field.  Williams also dished out four assists in the huge victory.

Dillard led 35-26 at halftime thanks to freshman Jarrain Jenkins who hit several key baskets for the Bleu Devils and finished with a double-double-14 points, 11 boards, three assists and one steal, and big man Jeremy Rixner went hard in the paint as he finished with nine points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks.  Dillard outrebounded Tougaloo 34-29 on a night where Tougaloo's Cordaryl Campbell had a double-double of his own with 14 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes of action.

Sophomore Jordan Kilson, ranked sixth in the NAIA in steals per game, finished with nine points, five rebounds and three assists in 34 minutes of action.

The victory snaps Dillard's six game losing streak and also results in Dillard's second conference win and its third overall win of the season.  The team has more than doubled its win total from last year, and will look to continue the win streak in less than 48 hours.

On Monday, February 18, Dillard continues conference play as they travel across town to face Southern University at New Orleans.  Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
