Bleu Devil freshman Jarrain Jenkins finished with 21 points, nine boards and two assists in an 80-72 victory over the Bulldogs in the Battlefield.  Jenkins was dominant from inside the arc, hitting 9-of-17 shots from the field and nailing 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.  The win snapped Dillard's 10 game losing streak and also snapped Dillard's 14 game GCAC losing streak dating back to last season.

As a team the Bleu Devils (2-12 overall, 1-4 GCAC) shot an amazing 61 percent from the field in the second half, hitting 17 shots and scoring a total of 53 points.  However, Fisk would match that with 53 second half points of its own.  But Dillard had an eight point lead at the half and maintained its lead throughout the second half despite a late push from Fisk who was led by Brandyn Mungro who finished with a team high 20 points and grabbed three rebounds, added two steals and also had one steal in 29 minutes for the Bulldogs.

Dillard's Jaquan Green beat the defense off the dribble all night and slashed to the basket consistently as he finished with 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 30 minutes.  As a team Dillard scored 16 points off of Fisk's 13 turnovers and battled in the paint throughout the night thanks to Dillard's big man Jeremy Rixner who filled the stat sheet, finishing with seven points, nine boards, two assists, two blocks and one steal in just 16 minutes of action.

The Bleu Devils continue conference play on MLK Day, Monday, January 21 as they host Philander Smith College in the Battlefield.  Tip-off is at 4:00 p.m.
