Exactly two weeks after the Bleu Devils basketball team picked up its first win of the season in the Battlefield over Blue Mountain, the Toppers returned the favor in Mississippi as they defeated Dillard 66-76.

"We committed 18 turnovers," said Coach Bernard Griffith.  "We have a lot of upside; we just need to find it."

Freshman Tyrone Williams was dominant in the paint for Dillard (1-4 overall, 0-0 GCAC), shooting 6-for-10 from the field and also 5-for-6 from the charity stripe.  Williams finished with a team high 19 points and also added six boards and one block.

Freshman Jarrian Jenkins had a strong game with 15 points, six rebounds, and one assist.  Jenkins went 2-for-3 from behind the three point line, but it wasn't enough as freshman Ricky Johnson stole the show for the Toppers, finishing with a season high 19 points in just 21 minutes of action, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and hitting 6-of-7 free throws on the evening.   

Sophomore point guard Jordan Kilson had a positive game for the Bleu Devils as he finished with 11 points, five boards, two assists, and a game high five steals.

On Thursday, December 6, the Bleu Devils host William Carey University in a double header.  The Lady Bleu Devils tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the Bleu Devils tip off at 7:30 p.m. respectively.  Dillard lost the first match against William Carey by the score of 56-105.
