In front of a large Homecoming crowd in the Battlefield, the Bleu Devils picked up their first win of the season over the Toppers of Blue Mountain College by the score of 63-58.

Freshman Jaquan Green led Dillard with 10 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes.  Although the Bleu Devils enjoyed a double-digit lead at halftime, the Toppers made a strong run in the second half and cut the lead down to as little as one behind junior DeVonte Pulliam's 23 point performance.  He also finished with 14 boards and five blocks.

At that moment, Coach Griffith made a key substitution, and it was time for "church."  Not literal church, but senior sharp shooter Terry Church, who dropped 21 points in 15 minutes, all in the second half.  Church hit four three pointers in a matter of minutes and finished the game shooting 60 percent from the field, helping Dillard pull away with the Homecoming game victory.

On Monday, November 19, the Bleu Devils host Tennessee Wesleyan College in the Battlefield.  Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
