New Orleans, LA -- Dillard University head men's basketball coach, Bernard Griffith, has announced the signing of Nikola Cicic a transfer from Southern Arkansas University.

Cicic, a 6-5 guard, from Belgrade-Zemun, Serbia initially signed a scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas Little Rock (UALR) out of high school. He later transferred to Southern Arkansas University (SAU), where he spent the past two seasons.

Cicic arrived in the states in 2006 and attended the Patterson School in North Carolina before moving on to Rise Academy in Philadelphia, PA. During his season at Rise Academy he averaged 24. 5 points per game, five rebounds per game, and four assists per game. His outstanding performance helped lead the team to a 25-15 record overall. 

Prior to arriving in the United States, he was a member of the BC Partizan- Belgrade team that won the Yugolavian under 15 championships in 2002 and 2003.
