(New Orleans) Dillard Lady Bleu Devils' Jazzmin Smith was voted GCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week ending December 4, 2011. 

Smith, a 5-11 junior from Lake Charles, LA was recognized for her stellar performances last week versus Spring Hill College and University of New Orleans. The Lady Bleu Devils finished last week with a record of 1-1.

In a 51-49 loss to Spring Hill College, Smith had 12 points, 9 rebounds 1 assists and 5 steals in 33 minutes of play. 

In a 66-63 victory over UNO, Smith tallied 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

For the week, Jazzmin Smith averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 1 block per game. She also shot 42% from the field.
