Mobile, AL - After shooting 92.3 percent from the free throw line in the first half, the Dillard Bleu Devils (4-23) dropped to 41.7 in the last period and lost to Spring Hill (15-13) in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament play-in action, Tuesday night at Outlaw Recreation Center in Mobile, Ala.

The Dillard men, seeded 10th, took a four point lead (34-30) into the break and hopes of a victory on the road to advance to the next round of the GCAC Tournament.  Both teams came out slinging early in second half action. But, midway through the period, the Badgers took an eight-point lead (52-44) when Robert Byrd left his man open for a three-pointer.

Down the stretch, the Bleu Devils missed four free throws between 9:09 and 45 seconds.  Lance Bell's layup would be Dillard's last shot of the 2009-2010 campaign.

Four Bleu Devils scored in double-figures, with James Burkes leading the way with 14 points, nine rebounds and five steals.  He was followed by Mico Sjekloca, with 13, and Cornice Wingate and Bell, with 12 apiece.

Spring Hill was led by Nick Brown's double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Owen McNally followed with 14, while Jacolby Griffin added a dozen.  Tyler Schwab chipped in 10 assists.

The Badgers, seeded seventh, will next face Tougaloo, the No. 2 seed, in Jackson, Miss., on
