New Orleans, LA - (Women's Basketball) The Loyola Wolfpack (15-8, 9-4) used an 82.8 percent free throw advantage to defeat the Dillard Lady Bleu Devils (8-15, 1-12) 59-50, Thursday night at Dent Gym.  It was Dillard's 11th consecutive Gulf Coast Athletic Conference loss.

The Lady Bleu Devils shot 100 percent from the free throw line, but did so in the last minute of the game when Loyola's Rachel Nolan fouled Lai'Ana Gill, sending her to the line to convert Dillard's only pair of the night. The Wolfpack went 24 of 29 from the charity stripe.

Gill led DU with 12 points, tying her season high for the second time.  As a team, the Lady Bleu Devils outshot Loyola 42.6 percent to 31.3, and also edged the Pack on the boards, hauling in 36 rebounds to its 29.  Trenese Smith led LU in scoring with 23 points, followed by Keiva Council, with 17.

The Dillard women's lone GCAC victory came against Spring Hill nearly one month ago.  They will attempt win number two when they travel to Mobile, Ala., on Saturday, February 13, to face the Lady Badgers - who have yet to score a league victory.  Tip off time is 5 p.m., at Outlaw Recreation Center.
