Statistically, Dillard has more steals, more assists and fewer turnovers than the Rams, but Mobile beat the Bleu Devils on the boards 41-23, with 31 coming on defense. They also outshot DU by nearly ten percent from the field and hit just over ten percent more free throws.
Leading DU scorers were DeCarlos Riley, who matched his season-high of 16 points, followed by Autrail Manning with 13 and a team-high seven rebounds. Avry Ingram chipped in 11 points and three steals. Mico Sjekloca had a game-high three blocks.
Mobile's Ji Kimbrough led all scorers with 26 points, along with three steals. Robert Golston registered a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
The Bleu Devils will next play GCAC opponent William Carey in Hattiesburg, Miss., on January 14. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Clinton Gymnasium.
