New Orleans, LA - Led by four players in double figures, including Alrieon Bevins with the season's first double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds) the Dillard Lady Bleu Devils (5-0) beat NCAA-Division II Tuskegee 75-63 in the second game of the Xavier Classic Tournament, Thanksgiving night, to stay undefeated.
 

After five early lead changes, Dillard took control in the first half.  Its largest lead was 31-17 after a Syrena Edwards three-point play at 3:08.  Dillard's Jessica Small was perfect from three-point range shooting 3-of-3 in the first half.

Tuskegee regained the lead in the second half, but the Lady Bleu Devils took the lead for good at 52-49 on a Lai'Ana Gill three-point play with 9:14 remaining.  Dillard went 28-of-34 from the line - 23-of-27 in the second half.

Small was the leading scorer with 15 points, Edwards and Gill added 10 and 12, respectively.  Bevins was the rebound leader for Dillard. 

Leading scorers for the Tigerettes (1-1) were Jennifer Anoka (16), Tequila Martin (13 and 10 rebounds), Alicia Barnes (12 and 11 rebounds, five assists), and Nnenna Eze (10).  Tuskegee outrebounded Dillard 53-31.

The Lady Bleu Devils will face Texas College (3-1) in day two action of the Xavier Classic tomorrow at 1 p.m., at The Barn.  It will be their second time this season playing the Lady Steers.  Dillard won the first outing 74-71 on November 6, in Tyler, Texas.
