Jessica Goods-Morris led Dillard with 16 kills and six blocks, two solo. Cenquis Rockett followed with eight attacks and Danta Cobb posted 34 assists with 17 digs, defensively.
The Lady Bleu Devils finished the 2009 campaign with an improved record of 5-5 in conference and 10-13 overall, tied for third place with Belhaven, which got swept by No. 1 seed Mobile in semifinal action. Last season, Dillard went 2-6, 7-17.
As anticipated, Mobile and Loyola faced off in the finals, with UM's Lady Rams taking the prize with a 3-1 victory over the Wolfpack.
